Collin O’Brien is the creator and owner of Boru Productions. He began his career working for an oil operations company in California as a field engineer after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After a few years, his passion for film inspired him to leave his oilfield career and join the film industry as a Writer and Director. Since then, he has spent the last several years practicing his craft and has created award-winning shorts, including Finding Happy and The Bounty.
In addition to Writing and Directing, Collin has practiced various rolls on film sets and has become skilled as a 1st Assistant Director, stemming from years of management experience in the oilfields and from learning under Terence Donnelly, a veteran 1st AD and Producer.
Collin is Professionally Certified in Avid Media Composer.
